Spear Education is one of the premier centers in the United States offering continuing education to dentists who are dedicated to providing patients with state-of-the-art technology and services. Lincoln dentist Dr. Louis Olberding is not only a student at Spear Education, but he is also one of only two dentists in the state of Nebraska that is a member of the Spear Visiting Faculty. This position is offered only by invitation to those dentists who are among the most outstanding in their profession.
Dr. Frank M. Spear founded Spear Education in 1994. The center began as The Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education, SIADE, and was later renamed The Spear Institute. Today, Spear Education is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dentists, technicians and their staff can take classes at the Scottsdale campus and through online courses, as well as local workshops.
Spear Education offers a variety of courses ranging from implant restorative dentistry and complex case planning to sleep medicine in the dental practice and excellence in composite restorations.
In addition, there are Spear Study Clubs across the country where small groups of local dental professionals meet several times each year to collaborate on actual cases that Spear provides in order to improve their clinical expertise.
